Chase Bryant – Columbus, OH

Chase Bryant brought the party to The Bluestone in Columbus, OH on Friday night. A crowd full of country music lovers came to see the “Take It on Back” singer in an up close and personal setting.

Right from the start Chase was able to reflect his witty personality upon the crowd. He took the stage, began to sing his opening number, and soon realized that he didn’t have a mic. He didn’t let this hinder his performance, rather he took the opportunity to just laugh. The night was full of humorous moments. Chase has a way of personally connecting with his audience in an effortless manner. He was sporting some tight jeans and made sure to tell the crowd, “I brought my Luke Bryan pants tonight so I’m ready to go!”

Chase is obviously a talented vocalist, but he is also incredibly gifted on the guitar. The crowd was able to catch a glimpse of his abilities when he nailed those guitar solos time and time again. A major highlight of the show would have to be Chase’s cover of Justin Timberlake’s “Drink You Away”. He introduced the song by referencing the Timberlake/Stapleton performance that has become oh so familiar. It is safe to say, Chase executed it perfectly. He also covered Walk the Moon’s “Shut Up and Dance” and the classic “Fishin’ in the Dark” by the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band.

It seemed as if the stage just wasn’t big enough for Chase, so he decided to hang out with the rowdiest fans in the venue. He ventured to the balcony to exchange high fives and down a quick shot of fireball with the rowdy individuals. One of those rowdy fans even chased him as he ran back to the stage, we can just blame that on the fireball. Chase was sure to leave the crowd satisfied by performing all of the songs that we have grown to love including “Little Bit of You”, “Take It On Back” , “Jet Black Pontiac”, and “Change Your Name”. Chase Bryant is a must see country act, and you can catch him on the “Wild One’s Tour” with Kip Moore.
