A man of many talents, Dylan Scott chose to pursue music rather than athletics. His deep-seated baritone and superb songwriting skills are a perfect combination for a successful career in county music.
Scott was raised in Bastrop, Louisiana where he resided until making the move to Nashville. He was a part-time fitness trainer and a construction worker before landing his record deal at the age of 19. Scott is no stranger to the music industry. His father played guitar and sang harmony with country artists Freddy Fender and Freddy Hart. “I would see pictures around the house of him on stage, so all of that was just normal, that’s just the way it was, music was what I knew.” Around the age of 12 Scott began playing guitar, which quickly transitioned to the start of his songwriting. He is a lover of all music and knew that pursuing a career in the industry was his destiny.
The music that Scott makes is real, he does not sing about anything that he has not experienced himself. His musical inspirations include George Strait and Keith Whitley, whose footsteps he would love to follow. The amount of enthusiasm that Dylan Scott possesses as a new artist is astounding. His main focus is making good music and having a good time while doing it.
His debut single “Makin’ This Boy Go Crazy” was a top 5 track on Sirius XM. He has followed that with his singles, “Mmm, Mmm, Mmm” and most recently, “Lay It on Me”. As a recording artist for Curb Records Scott has had the opportunity to work with many talented individuals including, Jim Ed Norman who produced his debut self-titled EP.
Dylan is in the studio hard at work on new music. He hopes to release an album soon for the fans, because a lot of them have been asking for it. Only time will tell, but when that album releases I think it is safe to say Dylan will be gaining many more fans.
